Week 13 NFL Power Rankings: Shortlist of Super Bowl Contenders becoming Clear

Image
With another slate of NFL games in the books, we've learned a lot about who the true contenders are. That being said, this has been the most unpredictable NFL season maybe ever so no one is safe really. There were some big wins had this week and it makes the final 6 weeks all the more important for those who didn't come out on top this week. 1. Arizona Cardinals (9-2) Previously #1 The Cardinals stay at #1 following a bye week. They are the best team in football right now without much of a doubt. Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins should finally be back from multi-week absences in week 13 giving the Cards even more firepower! 2. Green Bay Packers (9-3) Previously #4 + What a statement victory it was for the Packers on Sunday. They beat the Rams with much ease, it was never really that close. The scary part about these Packers that have looked amazing for much of the season is that they are only getting back to full health right around now. In the weeks following their week 13 b...

Rookie Rankings Week 12 Edition: OROY Race Heating Up?

Image
With 2/3 of the season in the books, we decided it was time to release our 2nd rookie rankings of the season (3rd if you count the pre-season projections one). So much has changed in the past 6 weeks and we are here to show you. How will the ranks change again from this time on to in week 18? We will have to see! 1. Micah Parsons, Outside Linebacker, Dallas Cowboys Previously #4 + Micah Parsons has been steadily dominant throughout the first 12 weeks of the NFL season, ascending him to the top of our rookie rankings list. He fell out of the top 10 on draft day just because some teams were worried he was just an athlete and didn't have a true place on the football field. That couldn't have been further from the truth. Parsons is showing his true place on the defense is ANYWHERE. Just look at the numbers, 67 tackles, 9 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 2 pass deflections, like man. He is doing everything and at an elite level. As a rookie, he might already be the best player on the Dall...

Week 11 NFL Players of the Week: Jonathan Taylor for MVP!

Image
I know this is late again but as long as the players are announced before the next Sunday of games, it feels valid to us. What a week of performances, it's tough to just narrow it down to one winner for each award.  OFFENSIVE Player of the Week: Jonathan Taylor, Running Back, Indianapolis Colts Statline: 32 carries for 185 yards, 4 TDs rushing | 3 receptions, 19 yards, 1 TD receiving Performance of the year! Jonathan Taylor has become the best RB in the league over the past two months and this is his signature performance. Entering the day, the Colts knew they would be facing an uphill battle as they headed on to the road to Buffalo to face one of the best defenses in the league. It didn't matter at all. Behind Taylor's all time performance, the Colts thrashed the Bills 41-15. It wasn't even a game. Jonathan Taylor is currently the league MVP. He may become one of the only RBs in NFL history to win the award if he continues on like he has. The Colts just kept giving h...

2022 NFL Mock Draft: Mid-Season Edition

Image
Even though we are a bit over mid-season, it still felt right to say. It's time for our first mock draft for the upcoming 2022 draft! We made so many going up to the draft last year and it all starts now. Granted, there will be so much to change including draft order and player rankings, but this is just to give you a sense of where things currently stand and to introduce you to some of the likely top prospects we will hear called in the Spring! Note: the current draft order is just the current standings + past completed trades 1. Detroit Lions select: Kayon Thibodeaux, Edge Rusher, Oregon The currently winless Lions don't go QB to open the draft. Instead they take the freak athlete edge rusher that is Kayvon Thibodeaux from Oregon who has been considered the no. 1 prospect in the class since last season. We seem to see a crazy elite rusher every few years, and they all seem to pan out well, Detroit hopes the same can happen with Thibodeaux. With him on the D-line along with ...

Week 12 NFL Game Picks: Who Takes Home Thanksgiving Day Wins?

Image
Predicting the NFL this season is pretty much becoming just a coin-flip. Just ask the Texans who beat the Titans a week ago. No one is ever safe. With that being said, once again, we are going to try and predict who wins games this week. Also what a slate of games this week. There are more over .500 teams playing this week than any week yet. Week 11 Predictions Record: 10-5 2021 Season Overall: 98-66-1 Thanksgiving Thursday Game 1 - Chicago Bears (3-7) at Detroit Lions (0-9-1) The classic Thanksgiving game between these two really couldn't come at a worse time this year. Both of these teams are pretty unwatchable and this game doesn't have much at stake. It will be a backup QB battle as well as Andy Dalton will start in place of the injured Justin Fields while Tim Boyle will do the same for Jared Goff. The Lions have been playing better lately but are yet to get that win. The Bears defense has been decent of late but their offense has struggled. This feels like the classic ga...
