Injuries didn't help his case, but he was still not AS dominant when on the field as he was in 2020. What are the different distinct team building ‘strategies’ within the NFL? How do these different strategies translate to team success? In a 32 team league, where there is still a third of the league that has never once hoisted the Vince Lombardi trophy, these questions seem to be pretty important for determining how to go about constructing a roster with the end goal in mind of winning a Super Bowl title. Over the course of the last three weeks, I’ve been trying to determine the answers to these two questions through a large data analysis. My goal was to split the 32 NFL franchises into 4-8 “buckets” which would hold the different team-building styles. Who would have predicted the 2021 season that Quinn just had? It's rare for an edge rusher above the age of 30 to be among the best at the position in the league period, so to see the level that Robert Quinn elevated his play to was just mind blowing.
