10 Players I'm Avoiding in Fantasy Drafts

Image
Fantasy draft season is fully upon us! With just over a week to go until the beginning of the regular season, fantasy drafts are happening every second all the way up until the opener. A few weeks ago I dropped a list of players who I loved in drafts, now we are going to go the opposite with guys I think should be avoided in drafts. Kyle Pitts, Tight End, Atlanta Falcons Currently going in rounds 2-4 on average in ESPN fantasy drafts (12 team PPR) Don't get me wrong here, I love Kyle Pitts as a player. I think he is a future All-Pro TE, but his draft stock is simply too high for me right now and so for that reason he's the first guy up on this list. In 12 team leagues, he's going to have to be your literal second or third pick with where his ranking is right now. That is simply way too rich for a guy who only really had 3-4 starting caliber weeks in 2021 (with a better QB situation as well). Sure, he's only getting better and will likely be better than he was last yea...

Seahawks 53 Man Roster Prediction 2022

Image
With the pre-season coming to a close I thought it would be a good time to post my second annual Seahawks roster predictions article. I can't do this for every team so I decided last year to just do it for my personal favorite team and that's what I'll be doing again this year.  (My projected starters at the positions will be italicized ) (Also, if a player has a + next to their name, it means I think they were among the last 4 players to make the roster, if in the 'cut' area they have a - next to their name, it means I think they were one of the last 4 cuts, meaning they were super close to make the team. This part is strictly for fun.) Quarterback Roster (2): Geno Smith , Drew Lock Cut: Jacob Eason This is the easiest portion of the roster to predict. Pete Carroll nearly never has carried three QBs on his opening day roster and this year doesn't make sense to be the outlier with so much young talent in other places fighting to make the roster. Geno Smith was...

My Top 10 Offenses and Defenses in the NFL Heading into 2022

Image
With the pre-season in full swing and the season feeling closer than ever, what better a time to release my personal rankings for which teams I think have the top 10 best offenses, and the top 10 best defenses heading into the 2022 season! Last off-season I made a top 10 offenses rankings so I will have a LAST YEAR: next to each offense I put in the top 10 to show how they've moved, however I didn't do a top 10 defenses so that will not have the same thing... OFFENSE 10. New Orleans Saints | LAST YEAR: N/A Top 3 Offensive Players: Alvin Kamara, Michael Thomas, Ryan Ramcyzk There was a tight multi-team race for this final #10 slot in the offensive rankings, but I gave the Saints the slight edge due to the immense ceiling this offense has. Sure, while they lost offensive genius HC Sean Payton to retirement (for now), they return a fully healthy Jameis Winston at QB who looked so good at the start of last season while also adding WR talent like Chris Olave (first rounder) and Ja...

Early August Fantasy LOVE List 2022

Image
It's about to be that time of year! The best time of the year is right before the NFL season when fantasy drafts are going down and teams are taking shape. Today, with camps on the verge of beginning, I thought I'd drop my first fantasy article of the year mentioning my current list of players I LOVE right now in fantasy drafts, for various reasons! Here we go. *Quick Disclaimer: ESPN's rankings that I mention are a major subject to change with still about a month to go before most drafts happen, take that into account, these rankings are also PPR based* Rashaad Penny, Running Back, Seattle Seahawks Currently ranked RB34 on ESPN fantasy PPR rankings (average rounds: 8+) When we last saw Rashaad Penny, he was playing like the RB1 in the NFL. Seriously. His final 5 games of the season were historically good as he ran for 130+ yards in 4 of those 5 games along with a total of 6 scores. He was a league winner for many. Going into 2022, things are only looking better for Pen...

WAY-TOO-EARLY 2023 NFL Mock Draft

Image
The off-season is starting to phase its way out as training camps across each of the 32 NFL teams are underway and the preparation for the new season is underway. With that being said, the 2023 NFL draft isn't for almost an entire year now, but I decided it would be a great time now to drop my very first mock draft for the 2023 draft! That being said, this is very much for fun and to compare how much changes between now and when the draft actually does happen in the Spring of 2023. Don't think too much of the draft order or anything this is more of a way to get to know some of the top players for this upcoming college season that could find their names called on day 1 of the draft in a year. Especially after that long and winding top 100, I wanted to take a quick break from talking about the same players again.  *the order is based on my win projections for each team at the current moment, but again, take it with a grain of salt, this article isn't meant to predict how th...
