Week 3 NFL Power Rankings: A NEW Number 1! + Game Picks for Wk 4

Image
Is this going to be the year of the underdog? Through the first 3 weeks, underdogs are actually PLUS over favorites. This will likely even out, but we have seen some wild upsets routinely so far. With that being said, this week saw a major shakeup in the rankings as some of the top teams got upset to upstart clubs who could blossom into contenders by the year's end. There will be a new #1 for the first time since 2021 (the Bills were our #1 throughout the off-season as well). 1. Philadelphia Eagles (3-0) Last Week: #3 + This has been quite the meteoric rise for the Eagles. We all knew they'd be improved after the off-season they had, but I don't think anyone expected them to be the BEST team in football this quickly. This team is simply firing on all cylinders. Even WR2 DeVonta Smith got in on the action this week with a wild 170 yard game. The Eagles are flyin'. 2. Miami Dolphins (3-0) Last Week: #5  + This biggest shocker through the first three weeks has easily bee...

Week 3 NFL Game Picks: Can Giants get to 3-0? Brady v Rodgers 5

Week 3 becomes a bit of a make or break week for a lot of teams. Some teams may get to 3-0, while a couple could even fall to 0-3. At the same time, a 1-2 start is tough to comeback from and a 2-1 start is high quality. This week will separate the early season contenders from the early season pretenders, and I have all the winning picks below! Week 2 Predictions Record: 8-8 2022 Season Overall: 19-12-1 Buffalo Bills (2-0) at Miami Dolphins (2-0) The NFL should have found a way to flex this game into primetime. Damn, this is a good match. There is a new era in the AFC East as it looks like it is going to be a division run by Buffalo and Miami for years to come. The Bills have lived up to all expectations, looking like the best team in football through the first two weeks but what is surprising is that the Dolphins have made a case for that title as well. Tua Tagovailoa is coming off of the best game of his young career in which he threw for 6 TDs in a comeback win over Baltimore. ...

Week 2 Power Rankings: Dolphins Swimming Up the Ranks, Colts Freefall

Just like that we are through the first eighth of the NFL season. It's crazy how long the lead-up to the season always feels and then the weeks just start to fly by once the season is actually in session. With another huge slate of games in the books, here's how I see things changing in terms of the landscape of power in the NFL. 1. Buffalo Bills (2-0) Last Week: #1 The Bills remain the top dawgs in the power rankings. As if week 1's domination of the defending champs wasn't enough to convince us, they absolutely embarrassed the reigning no. 1 seed in the AFC (the Titans) on MNF. A 41-7 victory in which Stefon Diggs made his claim for the no. 1 receiver rank in the league and the defense continued its torrid start to the season. I'm not sure who is beating this team anytime soon... 2. Kansas City Chiefs (2-0) Last Week: #2 The Chiefs remain at no. 2 as well, following a huge win over the Chargers. While there were some tedious moments and lucky calls, the Chiefs s...

Week 1 NFL Power Rankings: Chiefs & Vikings SURGE

Football is BACK! We have officially completed the first slate of games and all 32 teams are now figuring out what to do after some dramatic wins and losses (and even a tie). Now that we already have so many questions answered, lets rank the teams again following the first week! 1. Buffalo Bills (1-0) Not a surprise at no. 1, as the pre-season top team stays in the driver's seat following a dominant win over the defending champs. Josh Allen looked incredible and this defense may be even better than it was last year, Von Miller still has it and that's a scary scary thought for other teams. This receiving core is going to go crazy this season. 2. Kansas City Chiefs (1-0) Somewhat of a surprise at no. 2, as the Chiefs look seemingly better than ever even with the huge loss of Tyreek Hill on offense. I thought the Chiefs and Cardinals would be in a shootout but instead we saw Mahomes and co. shellack the desert birds from the opening kick. While Hill may no longer be around, this...
