2023 NFL Trade Deadline Match-Maker

Image
With the trade deadline rapidly approaching, today we play matchmaker for some of the biggest potential names on the market. I’m not even predicting that some of the names on here actually get moved, but anyone I mention and any team I mention trading for that player is not out of the realm of possibility of being moved. Lets have some fun here. KIRK COUSINS TO THE JETS Jets get: Kirk Cousins (QB) Vikings get: 2024 second rounder, 2025 third rounder What happens with Minnesota has to be the most interesting storyline approaching the deadline. Just mere months ago, the Vikings were thought to be real Super Bowl contenders, now, they look on the verge of blowing up the team with only names like Justin Jefferson, TJ Hockenson, Christian Darrisaw, and Jordan Addison looking fully safe. With Cousins in the final year of his deal, aging, and the Vikings looking lost, a move for him makes sense. And the Jets look like the perfect team to take him on for the rest of this season. At 2-3, t...

Post Quarter 1 NFL Power Rankings '23: Will Anyone Catch SF?

Image
With a quarter of the NFL season out of the way, I decided it would be a good time to release my first power rankings of the season. I used to do them weekly, but now it doesn't feel as worth to do it so often. After each quarter of the season seems like a better time. With 5 games out of the way, lets see how everyone stacks up! I will also list one X-factor player on each team for the remainder of the year for some fun. 1. San Francisco 49ers (5-0) Right now there is just simply no one better. Aside from a back and forth game with a divisional rival in the Rams early on the in the season, no one has even stood a chance against this Niner team. Everything is clicking on all cylinders for Kyle Shanahan's crew as it also looks like they have two serious MVP candidates in QB Brock Purdy and RB Christian McCaffrey. This is the first time in a long time where I felt an undefeated team has a chance to genuinely go 17-0 in the regular season. Until someone proves otherwise, I'm...

2023 Quarter-Season Awards: Best Rookie Class in NFL History?

Image
With one quarter (and change) in the books for this 2023 NFL season, it is time for the first of four installments of award races each quarter into the season. It is fun to see how much these awards change throughout the year and if any hold up down the stretch. These are my personal opinions on who takes home the hardware if the season were to end after 5 weeks today. For each spot, I will give my top 3 (and some honorable mentions if necessary) to show who is in these races right now, but will list my winner at 1! In addition I will mention one player who is currently not really in the race that I could see popping down the stretch and bursting into the conversation. Offensive Rookie of the Year 3. De'Von Achane, Running Back, Miami Dolphins Statline: 38 carries for 460 yards (12.1 ypc), 5 TDs rushing | 9 receptions for 67 yards, 2 TDs receiving This is why I love the NFL. Every year there are a couple of guys, usually rookies, who come out of nowhere and become some of the gam...
