One Dream Free Agent Signing for Every NFL Team

As free agency continues to near by the day, it is a time of optimism for all 32 NFL franchises. The thought of being able to add star talent overnight that could change the outlook of your franchise is beyond exciting, and there is a ton of talent available in this year's free agent pool. In the past week we've identified big needs for every NFL team and also ranked the top 101 free agents, now we are going to give each team one dream (outside) free agent signing. We are trying to make each of them a realistic move that has some chance of coming true. Without further ado.

Arizona Cardinals: Rasul Douglas, Cornerback (from GB)
The Cardinals' secondary is a bit depleted outside of star S Budda Baker and CB1 Byron Murphy. Aside from those two, they need a lot help in that area. A dream signing for them would be Rasul Douglas who is coming off of a career season in Green Bay. He would be an amazing complement to Murphy who is more of a cover corner while Douglas is a certified ballhawk. Douglas brings interceptions and great zone coverage to the defense, which the Cardinals would welcome with open arms. This move would greatly improve their back-end and defense as a whole overall.

San Francisco 49ers: Stephon Gilmore, Cornerback (from CAR)
The Niners were one of the best teams in football last season, and don't have many glaring holes, but one has to be the cornerback position. Stephon Gilmore would go a long way towards solving that issue. He's 31 years old but still has it and the Niners are no strangers to going for proven CBs who some believe are past their prime. Remember a man named Richard Sherman who was an All-Pro in his SECOND season with the Niners? With the level of inconsistency they've had at that position coupled with the amount of star receivers within their division, Gilmore would be a match made in heaven for this Niner team who per Richard Sherman, is already interested in him.

Los Angeles Rams: Foyesade Oluokun, Linebacker (from ATL)
The Rams are a bit cap strapped and have many of their own guys to bring back, but they are cap wizards and will probably find ways to keep at least a few of those guys along with bringing in some quality outside FAs. Along those parameters, an absolute dream would be Foye Oluokun from the Falcons. He is the one of the best tacklers in the league and is developing into more than just that. He also is one of the very fastest LBs in football. He is very familiar with Rams DC Raheem Morris when Morris coached in Atlanta for the past few seasons. The Rams are in need of true talent at the LB spot, and Oluokun not only is coming off of a great year, but feels like the kind of guy who would elevate to his highest potential playing in a defense/system this talented. If the Rams could pick him up, it would be a dream scenario.

Seattle Seahawks: JC Jackson, Cornerback (from NE)
What a dream this would be for Seahawks fans. JC Jackson, our no. 3 overall free agent, may not return to New England due to a contract dispute. If he hits the open market, Seattle would have a dream come true if they got him. Ever since the LOB era ended, Seattle has lacked that alpha dog at the CB position who can make a play on any given down and shutdown any team's top wideout. Jackson would change that. He is a top 3 CB in the NFL and has been for the past few years, he's also still just 26 and entering his prime. Seattle has some of the most cap space in the league, and if they truly are serious about making win now moves like Pete Carroll says, Jackson would be their shooting star dream wish despite the massive contract he is sure to demand.

Denver Broncos: Von Miller, Edge Rusher (from LAR)
How wild would this be? It would probably feel like a dream. Miller was obviously a longtime stud for the Broncos, but they traded him for a second-rounder at the deadline. Miller achieved what he was meant to in LA by winning a ring, and now he hits FA again. The Broncos biggest need outside of QB is edge rusher to pair with Bradley Chubb. Who better to bring in than the guy they know and love in Von Miller. If they get him back, they will have basically just added a free second round pick and would pull off one of the biggest GM wizardry moves in NFL history. This feels like a dream, but should be a move made into reality by George Paton and co.

Kansas City Chiefs: Juju Smith-Schuster, Wide Receiver (from PIT)
I almost went a step up here with OBJ, but I figured if he didn't sign with them at the mid-season why would he now, and Juju makes a lot more sense moneywise. Either way, getting Juju Smith would be a dream for the Chiefs. Their offense is clearly lacking a consistent third threat in the passing game, and it held the Chiefs back quite a bit this year. Juju is coming off of a down year and then a year washed due to injury. His price should be down a bit and I doubt he is going back to Pittsburgh. This is where the Chiefs can swoop in and get the explosive threat that Smith-Schuster is when healthy. Imagine adding him to Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce...

Los Angeles Chargers: BJ Hill, Defensive Tackle (from CIN)
We all are familiar with the Chargers' woes in stopping the run. It cost them their season. They have a ton of cap space and are primed to make some moves to solve that issue. While this may not be the massive name you'd expect to see when talking about dream FAs, BJ Hill would be an incredibly good pickup for this team. We are pretty high on him, ranking him as the no. 41 FA on the market, and for good reason. He was the Bengals' top run stuffer this season on their way to the Super Bowl. He was so hard to stop from collapsing down the middle of the line. He is one of the most consistent run stuffers in football, and it would be a perfect signing for the Chargers who have quite some money to spend.

Las Vegas Raiders: Davante Adams, Wide Receiver (from GB)
While anything can happen, and due to cap and the Aaron Rodgers situation, he truly may not be back in Green Bay, but this would still be a crazy dream scenario for the Raiders. Davante Adams is still a surefire top 2-3 WR in the NFL, and is primed to be paid like it, the Raiders are one team sure to be interested. Adams has a great connection with Raider QB Derek Carr (they played together at Fresno State) and the Raiders have a big need at the WR position. To add to this, the Raiders have some money to spend and have a new coaching staff and front office spearheaded by Josh McDaniels who we all know is an offensive guy. If he escapes the grasp of Green Bay, the Raiders would be a top contender to add him, and it would be a dream come true in Vegas.

New York Giants: Alex Cappa, Offensive Guard (from TB)
The focus of the Giants' off-season: find protection for Daniel Jones. They would be doing that adequately with this amazing potential move. Cappa is one of the best but also most underrated FA guards on the market. He's still in his late 20s and has been nothing but a rock of consistency over the past few seasons for the Bucs' offense. Tom Brady was able to have so much success in Tampa mostly due to the great offensive line they had around him, and Cappa was one of those key pieces. Not only is he a great run blocker (from Saquon), but he's a great and well refined PASS protector. The Giants aren't going to have a ton of money to work with, but Cappa is in their price range we would think. He would be a dream get for this offense.

Dallas Cowboys: Marcus Maye, Safety (from NYJ)
It's no secret that Dallas could stand to improve big-time in their secondary, and an amazing way to do that in free agency would be to go out and get Marcus Maye from the Jets. Maye has been one of the best young safeties in the league over the past few seasons, and despite a bad injury in 2021, he will be paid like one this March. Dallas could use a consistent center fielder with coverage skills in the middle of their defense. Maye has wanted out of New York for some time and would be thrilled to join a contending team like Dallas. This just feels like a Jerry Jones match made in heaven for the Cowboys.

Washington Commanders:
De'Vondre Campbell, Linebacker (from GB)

QB remains the biggest need of this franchise, but with no surefire stud QBs in the FA pool, we shift to their second biggest need which is probably LB. Jamin Davis was decent as a rookie and is probably there for the future, but they need more. Why not bring in a First-Team All Pro player from this past season in De'Vondre Campbell. Ron Rivera would be stoked to add a guy like this to his defense. He is one of those rare DO IT ALL LBs that the NFL adores. Washington's defense is already one of the better defenses in football, but adding a superstar LB in the middle of it like Campell would be a dream signing.

Philadelphia Eagles: Haason Reddick, Edge Rusher (from CAR)
The Eagles have plenty of needs, and are in a good spot as they own three first round picks, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be players in FA. Haason Reddick would be a dream add for this team that can pair him with whoever they get with those many draft picks. Reddick is under 30 and has produced back to back double digit sack seasons. It was apparent all season, and especially in the WC loss to the Bucs that the Eagles NEED someone who can generate pressure and get sacks for them. Reddick could easily be that guy and would be a dream signing for Philly.

New England Patriots: Chris Godwin, Wide Receiver (from TB)
The Pats were the biggest spenders in football last off-season, and they filled nearly every hole they needed to with those signings...except for one. That being WR. They have a chance to make it all right this off-season if they can reel in the big fish Chris Godwin. Godwin is young and has been one of the best WRs in the NFL since entering the league a few years back. He's an expert route runner, catches everything, and is a true WR1. With Mac Jones ascending, he needs his go-to-guy. Godwin would be a dream pickup for Bill Belichick and Jones.

Miami Dolphins: Orlando Brown Jr., Offensive Tackle (from KC)
Dreams may become reality this off-season for the Dolphins, as they have the most cap space in the NFL. New HC Mike McDaniel is an innovative offensive guy, and he knows it is the top priority to fix this offensive line which was the worst in football in 2021. With a large chunk of their cap, Orlando Brown Jr. should be the move. Brown is just 25 and has made the most Pro Bowls in a row of ANY TACKLE in the NFL (with 3 years and counting). What a dream move this would be to bring in Tua's blindside protector of the future and not have to give up any assets to do so.

New York Jets: Mike Gesicki, Tight End (from MIA)
Killing two bird with one stone here with this dream FA move. The Jets would poach a top target from a division rival and bring him over to flourish in their offense. Zach Wilson showed flashes of greatness in his rookie year, but it is clear he will need offensive firepower around him. TE has been a major hole on the Jets roster for multiple seasons now, but it could be solved big-time with this move. Gesicki is one of the best TEs in football already, despite his young age, and would be such a big time get for this offense. He has some of the best hands of ANYONE in the NFL including WRs and would be a massive target in the middle of the offense for Wilson to lean on. His skillset plus young age fits PERFECTLY with this Jets team, and would be an absolute dream addition.

Buffalo Bills: Chandler Jones, Edge Rusher (from ARI)
Imagine this! The Bills already have the best defense in football, but could use another stud edge rusher to really improve things, and imagine if they were able to acquire arguably the best rusher on the open market. Jones has been the definition of consistency in terms of sacking the QB over the past decade. He is one of the most accomplished and decorated sack men in the history of the NFL. He may be over 30, but he is still chugging along as well as ever. If the Bills could somehow bring him in, it may very well break the NFL. The only thing missing from this elite Bill D is a CONSISTENT edge threat, Jones solves that instantly.

Green Bay Packers: Will Fuller V, Wide Receiver (from MIA)
The Packers have been in on trying to get Will Fuller multiple times over the past few years, this FA could be the time their dream comes true. Fuller had a disappointing one year stint in Miami which was marred due to injury and inconsistent QB play. His price will be a bit down which is amazing news for the cap strapped Packers who need that explosive WR2 threat. Fuller would be an amazing fit in this offense as he could take the top off the defense at any given moment while Adams (if he stays) is the primary option that takes eyes off of Fuller as well. We know the interest is there from Green Bay, now does their dream finally come true?

Detroit Lions: Quandre Diggs, Safety (from SEA)
The Lions are set to be major players in this FA class, with money to spend and an eager young coach who players would love to play for. A dream for the Lions would be to bring back Quandre Diggs after he was traded to Seattle three years ago. Diggs has become an elite, All-Pro caliber Safety in his time up in Seattle since leaving Detroit. The 'Hawks love him and he is a leader amongst their defense. The Lions need secondary help anywhere they can get it, and Diggs is the complete package. He is a ball-hawk but also an instinctive tackler and an elite coverage player. He brings a tough, hard-nosed attitude to the table with his big hits and strong tackling. This is the kind of guy Campbell wants in his defense, and would be a dream to bring back to the Motor City.

Chicago Bears: Trent Brown, Offensive Tackle (from NE)
If the Bears want to make sure Justin Fields develops as planned, they are going to need to focus on the offensive line to protect him. A dream signing for them would be the MASSIVE Trent Brown from New England. He's 6'8 and over 350 pounds and is a great pass protector that is hard for ANYONE to get around. While this may not sound like a massive splash move that Bears fans are clamoring for, it would be a damn good move. Matt Eberflus seems to really be a sharp guy, and he should try and make this signing happen.

Minnesota Vikings: Carlton Davis, Cornerback (from TB)
Ever since Xavier Rhodes left town, the Vikings have been uncovering every stone, trying to find his replacement. They have failed with almost every move they've made. With a new regime in the front office, it is time to get it right. Carlton Davis is that guy. He's one of the youngest available CBs on the market and subsequently one of the best. In 3/4 pro seasons, he's broken up 10+ passes. That is the production and consistency the Vikings are dying to see. Davis would be a dream addition to a weak Minnesota secondary.

Cincinnati Bengals: Terron Armstead, Offensive Tackle (from NO)
The Bengals are now one of the more attractive FA destinations in football with their immense cap space and young ascending team. Terron Armstead is the definition of a dream signing for them. We have him ranked as our no. 2 overall FA in the league, as he is one of the 5 best tackles in football in his early 30s. The Bengals should hand him a blank check and let him come to town for however much it takes. The improvement this offense would see with Armstead as the anchor of this line would be astronomical. As a person who wants to see Burrow and the Bengals get back to the Super Bowl, I hope this dream signing comes to fruition.

Cleveland Browns: Mike Williams, Wide Receiver (from LAC)
This is another major dream signing, as Williams is our no. 4 ranked overall FA, and the Browns' biggest need is WR. With Jarvis Landry and Donovan Peoples-Jones as great complimentary options, Williams would be the big fish WR1 that would complete this offense. Baker Mayfield loves to sling the ball deep, and Williams is one of the best go up and get it wideouts in football and comes down with some crazy grabs. It wouldn't be cheap, but the Browns have the money to make it work, this would be a dream add for this team that feels they are so close to a Super Bowl berth.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Jameis Winston, Quarterback (from NO)
While many feel the Steelers are going to draft a QB in the first round of the upcoming draft, I think they are likely going to try and bring in a veteran regardless. Mike Tomlin wants to continue winning and they won't do that with a rookie QB at the helm of this messy offense. Jameis Winston would be his dream get with what the QB market appears to be this off-season. Winston showed a ton of improvement in New Orleans last season and is the kind of QB Tomlin would be happy running the show in the Steel City. While it may not seem like it, Winston could be the best available QB there is this off-season (pending the other big trade target names), and that means landing him could be a dream signing for Pittsburgh.

Baltimore Ravens: Emmanuel Ogbah, Edge Rusher (from MIA)
While he is an underrated talent, he would not be an underrated add for the Ravens. The Ravens dream of vastly improving their defensive line this off-season, and a way to do that overnight would be to add Emmanuel Ogbah, who turned his career around in Miami, and has become one of the most consistent rushers in the league. Playing opposite of ascending young talent Odafe Oweh, Ogbah would be a great mentor and pressure creator. He led Miami in sacks in each of the last two seasons with 9+ both times, the Ravens could use those numbers added to their total.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: James Daniels, Offensive Guard (from CHI)
F*$% dreaming! It has been a NIGHTMARE off-season already for the Bucs. They lost Tom Brady and now Ali Marpet to retirement, and are in danger of losing multiple key starters to free agency. At this point, a dream move would be to bring in any quality talent they can, so for our dream Bucs signing, we give them James Daniels. Daniels is one of the better guards in the league already, and he's just 24 years old. He is insanely young but already so polished. With the potential losses of Ryan Jensen and Alex Cappa to go with already losing Ali Marpet, the Bucs are going to need to acquire a lot of new OL to try and fix the sinking ship. Daniels would be a great add and could be around for the long haul. Due to how bad this off-season has already gone for Tampa, I wouldn't call anything a dream move, but adding Daniels would be a good one at the very least.

Carolina Panthers: Brandon Scherff, Offensive Guard (from WAS)
The Panthers have a pretty rough offensive roster at the moment, but a dream move that would go a long way towards improving it would be adding Brandon Scherff. Scherff has long been one of the best guards in football, especially in pass protection, and would solve a major need for Carolina. They need to do a better job of protecting whoever is under center for them in 2022. Scherff is going to cost a lot, but if they were able to bring him in along with potentially drafting a QB with the 6th pick in the draft, it would be a pretty dreamy off-season in Charlotte.

New Orleans Saints: Jamison Crowder, Wide Receiver (from NYJ)
The Saints are still in cap hell, similarly to last season, but they also still have some pressing needs that they must fill. Their main one aside from QB, which likely won't be addressed through FA, is WR. Michael Thomas is their WR1 if he is on the field, but who knows with him, either way they need another stud. Jamison Crowder should be seen as a dream addition if he comes to town. The Saints don't have the money to reel in a big fish at the position but settling for an elite route runner and separator like Crowder would be smart. As a WR1 on this team, he could make do, but if Thomas is back and he's the WR2, even better. It may be a rough off-season in NOLA, but Crowder would make things a bit better if they were able to bring him in.

Atlanta Falcons: Marcus Williams, Safety (from NO)
A literal dream signing for the Falcons would be one of the best players from their divisional rivals, the Saints, slipping through the arms of New Orleans, and into the Falcons' laps. Williams is just 25 and is a top tier young safety. He can do it all in terms of coverage, which is exactly what the Falcons desperately need to add to their secondary. Poaching him from their rival makes the move even better. I don't know if the Falcons would be able to afford him, but if they could figure it out, this is a dream signing.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Allen Robinson, Wide Receiver (from CHI)
Wouldn't this be a nice way to kick off the Doug Pederson era in Jacksonville? Allen Robinson started his career in Jacksonville and made a real name for himself before heading to Chicago where he became a perennial Pro Bowl wideout and a near consensus top 10 receiver. With all of the inconsistency on offense this year in Chi town, Robinson had a terrible year, but he isn't at fault and is still in his prime and one of the top 15 pass catchers in football. The Jags have loads of cap space and a head coach who is eager to create an elite supporting cast around potential generational young QB Trevor Lawrence. Getting him a surefire WR1 would be a dream signing, and it makes a ton of sense for both sides. Robinson heads back to the Jags?

Tennessee Titans: OJ Howard, Tight End (from TB)
While Howard might not be the kind of player one envisions when talking about dream scenario adds, I think this fit would be a dream for both sides involved. The Titans played with a gaping hole at TE last season, and we saw how it effected their offense negatively. Tannehill played so much better in 2020 when he had big Jonnu Smith to dump it to over the middle. Enter OJ Howard, who is young and has all of the talent in the world, but was not utilized in Tampa Bay. This offense is perfect for him to succeed in, and while it may go down as an under the radar move, it would wind up being a dream fit for both sides.

Indianapolis Colts: Odell Beckham Jr., Wide Receiver (from LAR)
We are yet to know for sure if Indy is moving on from Carson Wentz, but either way, this team clearly needs to acquire more elite pass catchers. Wentz struggled mostly due to a lack of receiving talent around him. Michael Pittman Jr was great, but that was about it. The Colts have some of the most money in the NFL to spend in this FA, and if they were able to bring in the explosive OBJ, their offense would flourish. Jonathan Taylor, MPJ, and OBJ. Any QB could succeed with those guys + their offensive line. Dream signing here for the Colts, Chris Ballard, make it a reality.

Houston Texans: Leonard Fournette, Running Back (from TB)
This may be a fit that leaves the Texans continuing to dream, but if they were able to lure Leonard Fournette to town, it would pay major dividends. It looks like Davis Mills could be this team's QB of the future, but they have to surround him with talent to make sure he doesn't flop under immense pressure. Fournette would help big time with that. He is a powerful runner who can be a three down back in this offense. His speed in the second level is wild to see firsthand but he has also developed into a great pass catcher out of the backfield. Lovie Smith needs to make sure Mills is supported, and adding Fournette for a fair price would be a great start to that. I don't know if Fournette would come to Houston, but the Texans can dream...
