Week 13 NFL Power Rankings: Dolphins into Top 3, Rams Hit Rock Bottom

Image
After an eventful thanksgiving week of football, we are entering the stretch run with the true contenders and pretenders starting to shake out. There is a lot of movement in this week's ranks and we will get into it right away... 1. Kansas City Chiefs (9-2) Last week: #1 I'm not sure who will be able to stop these Chiefs. In all the years we have had so far of Patrick Mahomes and this team, this might be the best and most well-oiled I've seen them play. Upcoming this Sunday is a MASSIVE game against Cincinnati, the team whom beat KC twice last year, including in the AFC title game.  2. Philadelphia Eagles (10-1) Last week: #2 It wasn't necessarily pretty on defense, but the bird's offense showed up and showed out and was ultimately too much for Green Bay to hang with. Jalen Hurts and Miles Sanders make for one of, if not the best QB/RB duos in football (rushing-wise) which may sound weird but is becoming a lot more common today in the NFL with such mobile QBs. Aft...

Week 12 NFL Power Rankings: Three Words for Each Team

Image
Another week in the books, you know what time it is! On this week's power rankings we are going to describe each team in three words instead of a long description just for fun. I feel like I need to switch it up a little bit every once in awhile as I get repetitive, especially about the top few teams and the bottom few. 1. Kansas City Chiefs (8-2) Last week: #1 Mahomes MVP #2. 2. Philadelphia Eagles (9-1) Last week: #2 Teams figuring (them) out. 3. Buffalo Bills (7-3) Last week: #5 + Working kinks out. 4. Miami Dolphins (7-3) Last week: #4 #1 NFL offense! 5. Dallas Cowboys (7-3) Last week: #8  + How 'bout dem-Cowboys. 6. San Francisco 49ers (6-4) Last week: #7  + NFC SB favorite? 7. Minnesota Vikings (8-2) Last week: #3 - Just a trap (game)? 8. Tennessee Titans (7-3) Last week: #13  + + "We're still here" 9. Baltimore Ravens (7-3) Last week: #6  - Lamar is lost? 10. Cincinnati Bengals (6-4) Last week: #10 Ja'Marr is back! 11. Seattle Seahawks (6-4) Last week...

CURRENT Pro Bowl Ballot 2022-23 (Week 11 Edition)

Image
While we still have weeks until the voting closes, pro bowl voting just officially opened so I thought it would be a fun near mid-season exercise to make my ballot as it stands now. Lets go! (The * indicates who I think the starter should be at the position for each conference) Quarterback NFC: *Jalen Hurts (Eagles), Geno Smith (Seahawks), Kirk Cousins (Vikings) AFC: *Patrick Mahomes (Chiefs), Josh Allen (Bills), Tua Tagovailoa (Dolphins) Far from the usual suspects here! This is fun. While Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen are regulars, the other 4 players are guys that pretty much no one would have seen coming to begin the season. Jalen Hurts takes the starting job in the NFC as his Eagles are the top team in the conference and he is playing efficient, turnover free football. Geno Smith is my favorite one on here, I would have never thought in a million years this guy would be a Pro Bowl QB, now as arguably the most efficient QB in the NFL, he got a serious consideration from me f...

Week 11 Power Rankings: A NEW Number 1

Image
For the first time since the opening few weeks in the NFL season, we have got a new top dawg in the power rankings. Philadelphia's shocking loss to the Commanders on MNF opened the door for a changing of the guard at the very top. Not only that, but there were multiple other shocking results in week 10, leading to a lot of movement and change, especially near the top. Let's get into it! 1. Kansas City Chiefs (7-2) Last Week: #2 + The Chiefs are inevitable. Just when we thought they might regress some this season after losing Tyreek Hill, they are arguably the best they have ever been. While the injury to budding WR1 Juju Smith-Schuster is concerning, new addition Kadarius Toney filled the void beautifully against Jacksonville, scoring his first career TD along with 100 all-purpose yards on offense. The Chiefs are the new number 1! 2. Philadelphia Eagles (8-1) Last Week: #1 - It was bound to happen at some point. The Eagles suffered their first loss of the season in a downrigh...
