  One of my favorite annual articles is here. Every year around this time in the season (weeks 16-18) we see teams move on from their current guys and start the process of finding their new head man. We've already seen a number of in-season firings to this point and many more are to come. This feels like an upcoming off-season with a lot more firings than usual. Teams want results. Today we will look at potential open jobs, candidates, and more. This is not a hiring prediction article, which will come in the coming weeks. Lets get into it.   As we go into my third of four power rankings for this season, it is mid-December and there are still a whopping THIRTY teams alive for playoff spots. That being said, some teams have next to no chance, but the fact that they haven't been eliminated yet says something about how competitive this season has been and how aside from a small handful of teams, it really feels like anyone can beat anyone any given Sunday. With four weeks to go, here is how I see the teams stacking up! 1.   This is a first. I obviously do tons of draft content throughout the year, but I almost never write an article ABOUT the actual games going on in college football. I thought today, however, would be a great time to do so as tonight and tomorrow are college football's conference championship games that will then shape the eventual four-team playoff being set by the committee on Sunday. Usually it feels like there are 5 or maybe 6 teams that have a shot to get one of the four playoff spots heading into the final week, but this year has just been different. There are currently EIGHT teams in play for the four spots and with so many teams going at it this weekend, there are over 10 scenarios that could come into play. Today I will discuss the most likely scenarios and what might happen if each one comes to play.
